About Hayman's Butchers.
Haymans Butchers was established as a family enterprise in 1907 and we have always been committed to supplying the best quality, locally sourced products to our customers.
Most of our beef cattle come from Houghton Farm, owned by Mervyn Hayman, then slaughtered by his brother Philip in nearby Ottery St Mary. Philip also sources most of our lamb and pork.
Even though our early reputation was as a family butcher, over the years we have diversified and now produce a wide range of pasties, pies, cooked meats and ready meals many of which have been awarded national prizes.
Haymans has been a member of the Q Guild of Butchers since 1986. The Guild is an association of meat retailers committed to offering the best of everything to their customers. Member shops undergo regular independent audits to rigorous standards of technical excellence.
